Terms of Use
The rules for using Specula: who can use it, what you can expect from it, what we expect from you, and what Specula's AI can and can't do.
Effective 19 October 2026
1.Who runs Specula
Specula is operated by an individual, not a registered company. The operator's name and contact address have not been published in this draft yet; they will be added here before Specula's public launch.
In these terms, “Specula”, “we” and “us” mean the operator described above and the Specula service (the website, Spec research, Xavi and Vision). “You” means the person using it.
2.Agreeing to these terms
Before you send your first message, Specula asks you to agree to these Terms of Use and to confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Specula. When these terms change in a way that matters, Specula asks you to agree again before your next message.
3.Who can use Specula
- Specula is for adults aged 18 and over. Everyone confirms their date of birth before using it.
- You can try Specula without an account, with a smaller allowance. Signing in uses your Google account.
- Keep your Google account secure: anyone who can sign in to it can use your Specula account.
4.What Specula is
Specula is an AI sports lab, football first. It researches players, clubs and competitions on the live web and writes answers and reports with their sources. Xavi is a sports notebook: an interactive canvas where Xavi draws, explains and works through ideas with you, from tactics, movement and match situations to notes, diagrams and simulated matches. Vision analyses sports images and videos you upload.
Specula is a research and analysis tool. It gives you a sourced starting point, not professional advice: nothing it produces is financial, legal, medical, betting or employment advice. Its transfer valuations are model estimates, not offers or guarantees, and its match simulations show one way a game could unfold, not a prediction of a real result.
5.AI makes mistakes
Answers, reports, valuations, board explanations, simulations and video analyses are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they cite sources, and statistics can differ between providers. Check anything important against the cited sources and your own judgement before relying on it. You are responsible for the decisions you make with Specula's output.
6.Allowances and fair use
To keep Specula fast and affordable for everyone, use is limited. The current allowances are:
- Research messages and Xavi requests together: 3 per rolling 10 hours as a guest, 10 when signed in.
- Vision video analyses: 2 per 10 hours, signed in only.
- File attachments and Vision uploads: limited per 10 hours, signed in only. Attachments to research messages also have a storage limit per account.
Allowances can change. Specula shows how much you have used and when it resets. Don't try to get around the limits, for example with several accounts, automated requests, or by clearing your browser data to look like a new visitor.
7.Acceptable use
When using Specula, don't:
- break the law, or use Specula to harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone;
- upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that is illegal, sexual, violent or hateful (Specula checks messages and uploads and refuses content that isn't allowed);
- try to access other people's data, get around security, probe or overload the service, or use bots and scrapers on it;
- try to make Specula ignore its safeguards, or use it to collect large amounts of data from the websites it researches;
- submit passwords, payment card details, government ID numbers, health information or other highly sensitive information — Specula doesn't need them.
We may limit, suspend or close access for anyone who breaks these rules, and we may refuse requests that would.
8.Your content
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You allow Specula to store and process it to provide the service to you: to research and answer, to save your conversations, reports, boards and memories, to analyse images and videos you upload, and to check content for safety. This includes sending it to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy.
Your conversations, reports and uploads are private to you unless you create a share link, or choose to share a question and answer with Specula's reviewers when you give feedback. A share link lets anyone who has it view (or, if you allow it, edit) what you shared, until you revoke it or it expires. You choose the link's settings, and you are responsible for whom you share it with.
Only upload images and videos you have the right to use. Vision analyses them for you only; Specula does not use your uploads to train AI models.
9.Sources and third-party content
Specula researches public websites and football data providers, and links to them. Their content belongs to them and is governed by their own terms; Specula quotes and summarises it to answer your questions and cites where it came from. Some providers' content is shown inside Specula only when you click it (for example YouTube videos and Sofascore widgets), under that provider's terms.
10.Price
Specula is currently free. There are no subscriptions or payments. If that changes, we will tell you in advance, and paid features will have their own terms you can choose to accept.
11.Changes and availability
Specula is a young product. Features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free. When we make changes that affect you significantly, we will try to tell you in Specula first.
12.Ending your use
You can stop using Specula at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account, which permanently deletes your account and its data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken or to protect Specula or its users.
13.Responsibility
Specula is provided as it is, without promises beyond those in these terms. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on AI-generated output, from third-party websites or providers, or from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
14.Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live.
15.Contact
The contact address for questions and data requests will be published here before Specula's public launch. Until then, signed-in users can export or delete their data themselves in Settings.
